Herpa’s Yesterday-series continues to be very popular especially in the large scale due to the fact, that the airplanes of the early years of aviation can be displayed to greatest effect in this format. Besides, the smaller historic airplanes can also be almost totally produced of metal. So the star of the at that time small Lufthansa fleet can, of course, not be absent. The original of this L-1049 Super Constellation model is D-ALIN, which carries the Lufthansa livery that was current from 1958 to 1964, and which is still considered one of the nicest from Lufthansa.
