Lufthansa Airbus A340-600

In early 2004, Lufthansa began to serve its route from Frankfurt to Santiago de Chile via Buenos Aires with its D-AIHM – making it the first commercial scheduled service using the world‘s longest plane. The original jet costs 165 million US dollars, but it can be operated much more cheaply than a Boeing 747-400.
