Lufthansa Airbus A321 "Pure Sky"

With the name “Pure Sky”, Lufthansa is currently testing the performance of a new biofuel in regular flight operations. Since July 2011, one engine of Airbus A321 D-AIDG, which flies from Hamburg to Frankfurt and back four times a day, has been operating with jet-fuel containing 50 percent of a bio-synthetic kerosene. The other engine operates with the common fuel as before.
