Founded on January 1, 1929, the Polish airline LOT ranks among the world’s oldest airlines. Herpa marks the airline’s 80th anniversary with a limited-edition model of a LOT “classic”. The original of this Ilyushin IL-62M with the registration SP-LBA was commissioned in 1979 and named after the Polish athlete and Olympic champion of the year 1932, Janusz Kusocinski.
