In 1948, the first transport of the forwarding company was done with a Büssing truck. The master miller Franz Wiesbauer couldn’t work in his job as miller any longer. The company’s founder quickly realized, that transporting big and heavy goods didn’t only mean big challenges but also enormous economic potential, so from the beginning, he set his priorities on steel transport. Cranes to load and unload the transport vehicles now became necessary. The first cranes were built and purchased in cooperation with Kässbohrer. Since 2005, Thomas and Jochen Wiesbauer have been managing the company in third generation. Meanwhile, truck-mounted cranes and crawler cranes up to 700 tons load, special crane vehicles and transport vehicles up to 100 tons of payload are part of the fleet. Herpa now premieres a crane model in the “Wiesbauer” design.
