Even though many may remember KLM as a faithful Douglas customer over decades, the Dutch airline also went shopping at Lockheed, mostly in the postwar years. Between 1949 and 1953, the Dutch ordered a number of Constellations and Super Constellations. The latter remained in service until the late 1950s, one of them being the L-1049 Super Constellation Super Constellation with the registration PH-LKK.
