In response to increasing competition, JAL (Japan Airlines) merged with JAS (Japan Air System), the latter an airline rather focused on the domestic market, to become the sixth largest airline ofthe world. The JAL group thus uses a new livery as well. The airline‘s flagship, a Boeing 777-246, is now released as a 1/500 scale model with the new paint scheme.
