Interflug Technische Prüfung - Flugsicherung Ilyushin IL-18 "Grey Mouse"

From 1984 up to German reunification in 1990, the East German Department for Technical Inspection of Air Traffic Control used this former Interflug IL-18 for calibrating air traffic control and navigation systems at airports. Due to its color scheme, the aircraft was quick to be nicknamed “Graue Maus” (“Grey Mouse”). Such a plush animal reportedly hung inside the cockpit most of the time.
