The fire brigade Dusseldorf accomplishes about 110,000 operations a year. Over 1,000 paramedics and 80 emergency physicians are on stand-by for the rescue service. On 365 days a year, 5 emergency physicians and 23 ambulance vehicles are organized in 24-hour-shifts. Annually more than 100,000 rides are carried out – the dispatch center coordinates moving of sick persons and swift deployments of the nearest fire station with latest technology.
