From gravel company to construction all-rounder -established in 1908 by Albert Meyer in Hardwald, the company is still fully owned by the Meyer family today. The name Meyer disappeared shortly after the take-over of the Agir group: In 1992, Meyer & Co. became the new Agir AG. In over 100 years since its establishment, today’s Agir has consistently conquered new business segments. But for a long time, gravel had been the company’s main activity. During the 1960s, concrete was added. And in the course of the last 15 years, the segments environmental engineering, skip service and cleanup operations were added. At the same time, they expanded abroad. The time after the millennium change was distinguished by additional company foundations and shares. The segments road surface, production of energy and plant construction were added respectively further strengthened. A partial edition of the Mercedes-Benz Actros M lowboy semitrailer is now also available from the Herpa trademark shop.
