For years, the May Market in Mannheim has been Germany's top regional trade fair, with more than 400,000 visitors, around 1,500 exhibitors, and a net exhibition area of more than 77,000 square meters. And the "Maimarkt" has a long tradition. It was already held in 1614, at the time as a cattle and herbal market. Today, the consumer's trade fair caters for every one, from cattle raisers to prefabricated houses. And every year, the Mercedes-Benz branch Mannheim-Heidelberg joins the trade fair as well, and offers a special Herpa model made for the occasion.
