In 1947, Alfred Talke senior established the company in Hürth, south of Cologne, to transport brown coal. In 1952, the first own acid and alkaline solution transporter was developed. Henceforth, the company focused its activities on transporting these liquid chemicals. In the following years, additional locations were established, inter alia in Belgium and the Netherlands. In 2003, the company commenced operations in Al-Jubail, Saudi-Arabia, and successively expanded its presence on the Arabian peninsula. Currently, the company employs about 2,400 people in Europe, in the Middle East, India, China and the USA. The available capacity to provide these services includes more than 600,000 pallet bays and more than 2,300 transport units. A partial edition of this current exclusive model is now also available from the Herpa brands shop.
