With its cheap tickets, the airline– founded in Cologne in 1996 – has started another round of low-cost flying competition to and from Germany. Along withseveral aircraft leased from Lufthansa, Germanwings also operates its own custom-made jets. One of them is the originalof our model, the A319-100 with the registration D-AKNJ.
