The A380 is back – and better than before We tested the patience of our customers for quite some time with the long days of our Airbus A380 models in the 1/200 scale. Through ever increasing wear of the A380 tooling, there was no way around developing brand new molds. At the same time, we however wanted to take advantage of this situation in order to incorporate a number of improvements so that this giant of the air would account for the many suggestions and wishes that reached us from our customers. A large number of small changes to the engravings on fuselage and wings were made, the thin drip rails above the doors as well as antennas on the fuselage were added, parts of the landing gear were improved for a more secure standing, and, last but not least, an enlarged and strengthened display stand was developed to increase stability.
