To be able to compete with low cost airlines, Delta Air Lines established an independently operating subsidiary: Delta Shuttle. Equipped with sixteen brand new Boeing 737-832 planes, it currently flies to twenty destinations in the USA. In August 2000 the original of this model, registration N397DA, was the third plane allotted to the shuttle division.
