The flag carrier of Czechoslovakia started to introduce a total of 12 IL-18s on routes across Europe, but also on long-distance flights to Havana, New York or Montreal. Our model is released in the livery variant in which it was delivered back in 1962. As the “feathers” of the stylized bird were positioned quite low below the windows, these were often nicknamed “voucy” – Czech for beard.
