Boeing, too, had to pay the price for its over-ambitious development schedule for the Dreamliner. Too complicated was the logistics concept with its many suppliers, too complicated, also, the implementation of new materials. The first delivery to the Japanese ANA was for now put back to the end of 2008. But customer confidence in the airplane of the future is unbroken. Herpa has already made it a reality with the models previously released in the 1/500 and 1/200 and now also in the 1/400 scale. In this scale, only the in-flight version with stand will be sold, the model being limited to 1,000 items
