The maiden flight of the Boeing 787 is scheduled to take place by the end of this year, but there is a lot to do beforehand. Approx. 60 percent of the fuselage, the wings and the control elements consist of carbon fiber composite materials, which have never been tested to the extent involved in this project. The “Dreamliner” will be released in Boeing‘s house colors in the 1/500 and 1/200 scale simultaneously.
