As the world‘s largest airline in 1990, AA ordered seventy-five of the Dutch Fokker 100. The plane turned out to be nearly perfect for serving smaller airports. But even this large order did not help the Dutch manufacturer when it had to file for bankruptcy. In the meantime,American Airlines® has retired many of its Fokker 100s – but not N1467A, which was one of the last of its kind, introduced in February 1994. Only 2,000 pieces of this limited-edition model are to be produced.
