The short-fuselage variant of the A330 neo-family took off for its maiden flight on November 6, 2018. With help of new engines, a new wing and numerous other innovative systems, the successor to the A330-200 achieves a range of over 15,000 kilometers (9,300 miles) and saves almost 25% of fuel compared to older comparable aircraft such as the Boeing 767. The first aircraft are expected to be delivered to customers in early 2020.
