Everyone knows that all major events in Germany have to be cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, including this year's ILA Berlin Air Show, which was scheduled to take place in Berlin from May 13 to 17. Herpa would also have had a stand there, and would have presented itself with two exhibition models. Planned were a 1/500-scale model of Laker Airways, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10, and a 1/200-scale SnapFit model of an Air Berlin A330-200 with the registration D-ALPI and the lettering “BER Berlin Brandenburg Airport – Europe’s most modern airport”, the original of which promoted the opening of Berlin's new airport originally scheduled for 2012. The Air Berlin model is now available from our online shop as item number 612579, costing 19.95 euros. The Laker Airways DC-10 will follow a bit later. We will keep you updated well in advance.
