With the delivery of its first 737 Max 8 in May of 2025, the Spanish Airline can finally start the renewal of its short and medium-haul fleet. It had originally placed an order for the new aircraft with Boeing back in 2016. Those aircraft were never delivered due to the worldwide grounding of the 737 Max in 2019. By 2027, Spain’s third largest airline plans to operate no fewer than 20 Max 8s throughout its domestic and European network.
