When the first jet of the Air Berlin flew from Berlin-Tegel to Palma de Mallorca on April 28, 1979, no one has suspected that the then American airline will take the position of the second largest German airline 30 years later. The fleet of the holiday pilot counts 123 aircraft today. He flies national, European and intercontinental routes. One of Air Berlin's latest aircraft types is the Airbus A321, which has replaced the two Boeing 757 from the fleet since the end of last year. In a limited edition of 1,000 copies, the younger A321 with the identification D-ABCB with the new painting of Air Berlin appears 1: 500 exclusively for Herpa.
