In 1989, the MAN AG took over the utility vehicle branch Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG. They refrained from developing own Steyr vehicles (continuation of the well-known Steyr 91) due to cost reasons – the famous MAN types were just equipped with a new Steyr radiator grill. Therefore, the Steyr L 2000 is identical in construction with the MAN F 2000. Our Steyr fire engine is a special novelty for fire department fans. We have refrained from assigning it to a certain fire department too. It is therefore versatile and can also be used for remodeling.
