The Feuerwehr-Flugdienst (fire department air service) is a facility of the Landesfeuerwehr-verband Niedersachsen e.V. (state fire department association of Lower Saxony). The base Lüneburg operates one Cessna 182. Another Cessna 182 is absed in Peine and one 172 is based in Damme for fire protection. In the 1/87 scale, the model of the 182 with the registration D-ELRP is now being released. The original was purchased second hand in the USA in 1991.
