Also an economic embargo from the US on the Islamic repubic of Iran led to Iran Air restructuring its fleet with Airbus airplanes when it bought several A300-600s, which were, however, equipped with American engines. Among them also the original of this model with the registration EP-IBA. It was purchased brand-new from Airbus in 1995. This model is the first A300-600 model released in the 1/200 scale.
