In 1996, Alliance Air was founded as a so-called joint venture of South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. One single Boeing 747SP-44 with the registration ZS-SPA was provided by SAA with a beautiful livery. But like so many times before, this attempt to establish an airline for several different states was doomed to fail. All that is left today is a memory of possibly most beautiful Boeing 747SP, now available in the 1/400 scale.
